This is an in-service training for the staff of CUHK Medical Centre

Upon completion of the activity, participants will learn:

• Active ingredients comparison (Tinzaparin and Enoxaparin) - Pros and Cons for different patient profile (e.g. renal impairment patients etc)
• Dosage guidelines for treatment and prophylaxis
• Target users for vials and PFS. Any consideration for choosing which format (apart from cost)
• Switching between Innohep and Clexane
• Adverse effect: Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT)
• Administration technique of prefilled-syringe (PFS)
• Management of overdose (i.e. the use of Protamine)
